Beauty for Ashes provides the merging of God’s promises and healing power with the therapeutic power of experiential work. The teaching portions are directly through the word of God. We will dig deeper in scripture and his promises. The experiential portion of the retreat is a collaborative process wherein participants through fun, deep, experiential action methods openly explore past experiences, inadequacies, past hurts, negative beliefs within a supportive and confidential environment. This will allow true healing through the teachings and grace of God.

Founder, Leader

Rosy Acevedo

Rosy Acevedo is the founder and leader of Dare to Love Ministries. With a deep love for the Lord and mission to dare women to love God, love themselves and love others, the ministry was founded.
Rosy's career in law and as a sales director of Mary Kay was all part of God’s plan to bring her to a place in her life where see would equip women in their faith journey.
Through her own life’s struggles, and seeking and seeing God through it all, she had a desire for women to do the same. Knowing that all that happens in our life passes through the hands of God and that he will bestow a crown of beauty for ashes, this retreat was born.

Patrice Migliori Farnes

Patrice Migliori-Farnes, LCSW, is originally trained in the Creative Arts with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and a Master of Social Work in Psychotherapy. As a therapist, Patrice has facilitated special artist presentations and group work with children using theatrical interventions to assist children with conflict resolution, self esteem, and assertive, non violent communication.

For over 10 years in NYC, Patrice worked with Judith Gerberg (MA, LMHC) art therapy field pioneer and career/ life specialist at gerberg & co. Her internships specialized in individual & family therapy, utilizing the creative expressive therapies.

Florencia Sabugo

Florencia Sabugo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes working with children, teens, and adults.

She helps those that are experiencing the aftermath of trauma, struggling in relationships, and dealing with depressive and anxious symptoms.

Florencia's goal is to help people to stop dwelling on the negative thoughts, the weight of their inner critic, and to ultimately start living the life they want through healing and transformation.

She uses a combination of experiential approaches like psychodrama, play therapy, EMDR, sand tray, along with traditional talk
